About Product FOLIAMEL ZINC, is EDTA chelated liquid micronutrientintended for use in a complete crop nutritional program to fullfil the lack of zinc of mainly fruit trees and other crops. FOLIAMEL ZINC is fully water soluble and can be mixed with other liquid fertilizers and with insecticides. Zinc (Zn) is involved in synthesis of important proteins and plant hormones like auxin, in the formation of seeds,andpromotes plant growth and vigor. Zinc is taken up by plants as the divalent Zn+2 cation. It was one of the first micronutrients recognized as essential for plants and the one most commonly limiting yields. Although Zn is required only in small amounts, high yields are impossible without it. Typical deficiency symptom is blotching of leaves.Zinc-deficient leafs develop interveinal necrosis. In the early stages, the younger leaves turn yellow. Mature leaves develop pitting in their interveinal upper surfaces. Guttation (bleeding) is also prevalent. As the deficiency progresses, the above symptoms develop into an intense interveinal necrosis. The main veins remain green, however, as if the leaves were recovering from iron deficiency. In many plants and especially in trees, the leaves become very small and the internodes shorten, resulting in a rosette (circular) shape. FOLIAMEL ZINC is a fine chelated fertilizer that eliminates majority of zinc deficiency symptoms in crops.
